Daily Car Insurance Cover

Bernice Said:

How can you avoid paying for expensive car rental insurance?

We Answered:

No.

If you don't own a car, but you drive a rental, you can either SELF INSURE that collision, or pay the rental to insure it.

Sometimes, some credit cards will pick up the collision damage waiver for you, if you use their card to pay for it.

Keep in mind, it's NOT "full coverage". Just like what you have now, is not "full coverage".

Maybe you should buy a $1,000 clunker that runs, and just buy a regular insurance policy on it. That's, what, two weeks of rental cost. WAY cheaper, in the long run.

Car Insurance Question (regarding insurance)?

We Answered:

assuming you are in the US:

YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE HAD TO PAY FOR ANYTHING THIS FAR! You need to talk to your agent. If the other driver had insurance you should be submitting your bills to his company. You will get a settlement check later as you claim has closed, for "pain and suffering/lost wages" type of payment. You should talk to your agent immediately, they will/ should counsel you through this. If the other driver has no or little insurance then your uninsured/under-insured motorist coverage kicks in and you still submit all of your bills to your company and should not have to pay anything until your coverage runs out.

Seriously, this is a red alert. You should not have to pay a thing! Get your deadbeat lawyer and agent off of their asses and get to work for you. This is what you pay them for. If your lawyer screwed this up and made it so the company will only talk to him, then fire that lawyer and get a new one to deal with the insurance companies and sue your old lawyer.

The states require you to carry insurance so you don't have to liquidate stocks and loose your home over a car wreck. IN NO INSTANCE SHOULD YOU HAVE HAD TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR ANYTHING RELATED TO BODILY INJURY, UNLESS COVERAGE HAS RUN OUT!!!!

How can I avoid paying for car rental insurance?

We Answered:

that is a tough one. yes, you must own a car, if your going to continue this-buy a very cheap car and insure it.there is no other way.
I recently found out, certain
insurance companies will not insure you driving rental cars.Budget car rental provides a list of insurance providers that
will not insure your driving a rental car. Also remember, thieves target rental cars..

Catherine Said:

I just purchased a new Maserati Quattroporte. I use this car reguarly. Where can I find good insurance?

We Answered:

I'm going to assume that maybe you've paid for the car, but you haven't taken possession yet, because a dealer who follows the rules won't let you drive the car without proof of insurance.

Anyway, it shouldn't be a hardship to have to own a 2nd vehicle to get this insured, for two reasons:

1. If you can afford a new maserati, you can afford a 2nd car.

2. You'll need a 2nd car for when your maserati is in the shop, which will happen (this isn't a Toyota!)

I guess the best place to start is go to Google and type in "luxury car insurance" and see what comes up...

Jacob Said:

Where can I get insurance for an older car?

We Answered:

I have never had a problem getting insurance for old cars at Allstate. But when insuring something this old that was a daily driver, I never insured it for any damage to the car. Collision and medical only, no comprehensive.
