Does this sound like everything I will need to own a horse?

We Answered:

okay, so i totaled all of this up, purely out of curiosity, and you're spending about $75,000 on your future horse. honestly, i think this is a bit much, but it's not my money, so i really don't care. i defiantly think you have a lot of excess/unneeded things on this list, but again, that's your call. for me, (annually) i put about $10,000 into each of my horses. (i own 2). i think that some of your costs are a bit off though. i really don't understand why you're willing to pay $300 for a martingale, yet only $50 for a first aid kit. i'm assuming that this kit is for both horses and humans, and in my experience, a good first aid kit will set you back about $200. a crop should cost you no more then $10, and a lunge whip only costs about $15 (tops). i also don't understand why you have a western blanket listed, when all of your tack is english? (unless you already have a western saddle, cinch, and bridle.) for the sake of your dad, i would suggest you REALLY look carefully at these prices. like i pointed out, many of these things can be gotten for a lot cheaper then what you have listed. (and you'll still be getting the same quality) another thing that sorta confuses me is how you list things like the vet bills, dentistry, dewormer, supplements, salt licks etc. do you mean this as a one time visit, or for a length of time?

now onto the real question (thing's you're forgetting) i would have at least 2 (clean) towels on hand at any given time. (i use old beach towels) they can be used to clean up mud and muck from both you and the horse and can also be used a rub rags etc. also have an "emergency" fund set up. this emergency fund can go to your hospital bills, and vet/farrier bills for your horse. this is basically for anything unexpected that crops up. you may also want to pick up a body protector if you plan on doing high jumps/cross country. those will set you back at least $200. you will also want to look into buying bell boots (about $15) splint boots ($20-300) and polo wraps (aprox. $40)

this is all i can really think of right now.
hope this helps, & good luck!

Hector Said:

will currys replace my ipod nano with a touch?

We Answered:

In short, the answer is no, not immediately You have to give them opportunity to repair or replace the item insured (they'll send it away). If the Nano cannot be repaired they may offer a replacement... do not accept a factory refurbished Nano, this invalidates any warranty or insurance you have. However, if they do offer a replacement, you can at this stage ask for a refund then put the money to a Touch.

monitor not covered in coverplan insurance from Currys?

We Answered:

Yes. Always read the small print. So many fail to it seems, then get angry with the firm, rather than themselves. Strange.

Lazy azz Welfare-Mom who needs to have her babies taken away and put in foster care.

Since she cannot support them . . . and California TAXPAYERS will be paying the bill for having them and raising them . . . then the State should be the Ward and take them and put them in foster care.

Oh well . . . . that's the way the Welfare cookie crumbles . . . .

I do believe that Children's Services will eventually remove the children from an inappropriate home. However, your rant is unacceptably judgmental. I think the woman is mentally ill. Calling her an animal is wrong, and two wrongs do not make a right.
