Company Insurance Cover

Brandy Said:

Will my insurance company cover a seized engine?

We Answered:

It depends on exactly why the engine has to be replaced. I first of all have to assume the vehicle was not immediately turned off...otherwise there shouldn't be any engine damage (unless whatever you hit damaged the block of the engine). Your insurance company should tell you that if you had stopped the car immediately and not driven it then the damage would not have occured...this is going to be their way of not covering it. If, however, you happened to be in a position where you would have been in imminent danger if you stopped the engine immediately and had to move the vehicle for some reason then they may cover it. You may also have an insurance company that is pleasant to deal with and they may cover the engine because it ran out of oil as the result of an accident.

The engine would be covered if the block of the engine were damaged in the accident...other than that the engine technically should not be covered because you made the choice to drive the vehicle after it was damaged.

Roberto Said:

Will the insurance company cover damages caused with a second dui?

We Answered:

It depends on what coverages your friend has on his policy. I am not familiar with CA insurance laws and coverages, but if he has medical payments on the policy, that should cover the hospital bills up to what is listed on the policy. Also, your friend with the DUI, was he driving on a suspended license? Cause if he was, that may cause some issues with the insurance company and if not, I would expect his insurance to cancel him since he was driving under the influence. As for the passenger, he cannot sue the insurance company but he can sue the driver of the vehicle for medical bills, pain and suffering, etc.

Paula Said:

If I rent out property with only homeowners insurance policy, will the insurance company cover for damage?

We Answered:

homeinsurance.awardspace.us - try this one. Got my home insurance from them. As I know they provide such a service.

Sandra Said:

What will my insurance company cover?

We Answered:

Ordinarily, home owners insurance covers the repair of property, but not the cause. Let's say you had a toilet leak, and it went through the bathroom floor, into the ceiling of your first floor. The cost to repair the toilet isn't covered. The other damages are.

Before you take another step, call in a public adjuster. They invariably get more for you than you can negotiate yourself. It is usually well worth the cost. Best of luck.

p.s.- your agent will NOT tell you what will be covered. Only the claims department of the Insurer can do that. Agents are prohibited from telling customers what items may be included or excluded, anyone who tells you otherwise is speaking in total ignorance. The only thing the agent can do is refer you to the claims department.

Ramon Said:

Will a insurance company cover a unregistered vehicle?

We Answered:

The only problem is that if the vehicle is not registered, it's hard to tell who legally owns it.
With the companies I have worked for, if the damage is repairable, ownership is not a huge issue, they pay. But if the car is a total loss, then the registration becomes a huge deal and you will be asked to register the vehicle prior to a settlement being issued.
