Cheap Car Insurance Breakdown Cover

Ramona Said:

Best website/company for traveling by train across Europe?

We Answered:

You're talking about two countries a week! If I were you I would cut it by at least 50% and go from there. The western countries are a heck of a lot more expensive than the eastern ones.

There are no countries on your list, by the way, that are any more dangerous than England, for example.

Going by coach is cheapest but trains are, in fact, more comfortable. You may have to pick the best option at the time of departure. But if all you want to do is see as many countries as possible without ever visiting them, then by all means travel through all 16 on your list. But if you want to see things and experience the culture and meet the people, then cut your list down drastically.

Eva Said:

i bought a car on finance they want me to buy extra insurances,. can i get them cheaper elsewhere?

We Answered:

You are not required to purchase credit life/disability insurance or mechanical breakdown insurance. It is an OPTION and not necessary.

Some insurance companies, like Geico, offer mechanical breakdown insurance. But it's not necessary if the car is under warranty or you bought the extended warranty. The MBI covers items that aren't under warranty, items the extended warranty normally covers.

Credit life/disability in my opinion is worthless. If you die...who cares about what happens to the car. If you become disabled then turn the car in.

GAP insurance is offered at some insurance companies (not all) and it is always less than what you can buy it for at the dealership.

Louise Said:

Car or Motorbike costs? I am considering the pros and cons.?

We Answered:

It depends on the motorbike and car you are comparing. I have a Honda ST1100 and it does 30mpg, my car Mondeo does 32 mpg! Cost wise the bike costs roughly the same to service as the car, so do tires and insurance.

The bike is always quicker to get about, far more fun and I can nip through traffic and past queues. That said without doubt I am more vulnerable and if I were in an accident it would hurt more on the bike.

To me it comes down to the weather, on a nice sunny day the bike wins every time, on a frosty or rainy day the car wins every time.

The decision is entirely personal choice but cost wise it totally depends on which bike you are comparing to which car.

What do you do if you breakdown and can't afford a garage bill?

We Answered:

This may seem cheeky but it sounds as though you cant afford a car. One of the main expenses with a car is maintenance and if you cant afford that then there is no point in having it. Cars are a costly thing to own with Road Tax, Insurance, Fuel, MOT and all the rest but the main cost is looking after it. The older the car the more likely it is to have things go wrong and if it breaks down on the public roads and you are not a member of AA or RAC then you would have to pay to be towed from danger.

car insurance quotes?

We Answered:

Two real choices, you can look up various insurance companies and either call or go to their on line presence and compare rates.

Or you can find an independent agent that isn't tied to any one company, give him your information and let his search his data base for the best deal for you and your situation.

Are you with Quinn Direct? Need help!?

We Answered:

Hmm I have used Quinn Direct. Before I go any further I would like to say that I used money supermarket and confused and both came up with Quinn as cheapest. I then phoned Quinn directly who gave me a cheaper quote than M.S.com and Confused. On my paperwork Quinn state on the policy summery that if you are 3rd party fire and theft and fully comprehensive 24hr roadside assistance, homestart, vehical recovery and journey completion (vehicals upto 15 years old) it doesnt state anything after this. Windowscreen cover upto £350 optional for comprehensive and 3rd party fire and theft. I advise you to have seperate R.A.C or A.A cover as they seem to be better than insurance quotes anyway. There email address is info@quinn-direct.com. I have emailed them before and have always had a responce an automated one then a proper email. Also as your 20 and I passed at 27 I would take a pass plus test if you havent already as this can help you on getting a lower quote.

I hope Ive helped.

Should I sell my Corsa or not?

We Answered:

First get as many quotes as you can, do not tell them you have been in any other places just ask them how much to repair damage, also ask how much a new engine would be cos it might be cheaper, second see what cars that are ok are selling for similar to yours but working, therefore say if it cost to £300 with some haggling to get the work done + orignal cost of car it is £430 even if you can get £600 for the car boosting a new engine you are only down £130, all i am saying is work it out, not sure how much you will get for the car scrap. You may also get some money back for for the tax. Sit down do not worry yourself and review all options.
