Donna Said:

In The UK which car insurance company will give the best offers ?

We Answered:

There is no way for anyone to say who is going to be the best for this. "Guaranteed" - I don't think this is a term that applies in any way to car insurance policies.
In the UK multicar policies are possible but you still have to say which driver is the main driver of each and use the cars accordingly - claims get denied for a named driver using the car to go to work for example. The few multicar policy providers are not necessarily the cheaper ones
Multi car policies pupport to save money by combining things - they do not always do so and it is quite possible that two seperate policies can be cheaper for you
You will not get legal cover for the passengers, only you as the policy holder.
Breakdown and recovery are extra cost options and would apply to you in that car only. If you have recovery it will include motorways as well as all other road types. The things like recovery and home start if available have serious limitations often on ones combined with insurance policies and are usually far inferior to the stand alone type provided by the AA and RAC.
You are unlikely to get unlimited personal effects coverage and none for anything not kept out of site
Other than your requirements there is a big list of other things that will go toward determining the premium - if you live in a high car crime postcode for example it will not be cheap.

There is absolutely 100% no substitute for shopping around with your actual details. A company that will be the cheapest for me may well not be for you.

If you want all those bells and whistles forget cheap. That would be so even if insurance had not increased by over 40% on average in the UK in 2010.

In the end to get the best price you have to shop around on the net as much as possible then get on the phone to the best 2 or 3 to haggle - the internet sites will have you believe otherwise with promises of internet discounts but you never get to see the pre discounted price anyway!

EDIT - so you had no success on the comparison sites - like I told you they don't do what you are looking for and getting close to it will not be cheap - not suprised at your lack of success.

Rachel Said:

can insurance company charge me this?

We Answered:

most likely yes.

you may need to consider the insurance policy and the brekdown policy as two different things. it then depends on the contract. most insurance policies let you cancel at any time. they refund you money pro-rata for any time not used. in contrast breakdown cover contracts tend to be like phone contracts, if you don't cancel within the first 30 days, then to cancel any time aftewards you have to pay up for the minimum term.

read the terms and conditions.

Billy Said:

Can anyone give any advice on breakdown cover and people who try to rip you off?

We Answered:

Add to the costs of this lesson joining the AA or RAC before you go anywhere again. Only about £80 for the first year.
