His HOMEOWNERS policy might pay, as long as you don't live at his house. If you're a household member, though, his homeowners policy WON'T pay. He's still legally going to be on the hook for the damages, though.

I don't think that paint quote is accurate, though . . . I think someone is trying to rob you. I've NEVER EVER EVER seen a paint job - Lexus or not - cost anywhere NEAR that.

no - you just got the accident wavier insurance - that means they will not pursue you for damage to the rental (if your sister was signed on the contract as an allowed driver) the accident insurance to cover you for liability (the damage to someone elses car or property) costs more.
