All Risk Insurance

Clara Said:

High Risk Life Insurance?

We Answered:

Sure, but you'd have to be "a" rated. That means, you'll have to pay A LOT for it. Most any company would do it for $55,000. Heck, I'd do it for $60,000. No blood test, either!

Ron Said:

Isn't an Insurance "Co-Op" just a hidden way for private companies to pass ALL THEIR RISK on to the Taxpayer?

We Answered:

Yes, nothing that the Republicans have suggested will help the average citizen. They will only help the companies. They are so totally in the pocket of the industry, it isn't funny. Tax credits that won't even cover half the cost of private insurance don't help enough and still mostly help the companies.

Melissa Said:

I was in a car accident about a month ago and the insurance companys are still settling the case.?

We Answered:

It takes however long it takes to settle, and this has nothing to do with the DMV. The DMV will notify you of your punishment OR you can read up on this online at their site

Pearl Said:

Do imdemnity insurance take all egineering design risks?

We Answered:

No insurance company will provide an open check indemnity, therefore the insurance has limitations and conditions, the insurance only share part of the risk, that is why structural engineers the use factor of safety could reach 40% inorder to mitigate risks

Seth Said:

in your opinion, is it better to go for the "all risk" home owners insurance plan or Peril?

We Answered:

Although "all risk" is misleading, because it doesn't insure against EVERYTHING, it's BY FAR the better policy than a Named Perils policy.

Besides the fact that a lot more stuff is covered under an "all risk" policy, the real (but not often mentioned) bonus to it, is the 'burden of proof' of the claim.

For a Named Perils policy, it's up to the policyholder to PROVE that the damage was caused by a named peril. For an "All Risk" policy, the burden of proof is on the insurance company, they have to prove that the damage was caused by something that's EXCLUDED from coverage.

So if the cause is questionable . . . who do you want paying the engineer, the policyholder, or the insurance company?
