Accident Illness Insurance

Hector Said:

Is getting a thorn in you finger that gets infected an accident or an illness?

We Answered:

Good question! The correct answer is it is an illness because it has dirt and bacteria that you wouldn't have in your skin because there are hardly any things in your house strong enough to penetrate your skin and get stuck. The body would naturally try to fight the bacteria off, but it would be easier to have it removed. Though, I am positive that you can claim it was an accident because as you said you didn't on purposely put a thorn in your finger. So if you have good insurance it should cover it

Scott Said:

Can anyone recommend a company that can provide life, illness and accident insurance all together?

We Answered:

If in UK. Consult a Independent Financial Adviser. The first interview is free they can survey the entire market place and get you the best deal for you. Just put in IFA and the area you live in to your tool bar and it will give you a list of people to contact. Some of the best companies only deal through independents

What will happen to a US resident without medical insurance if he mets with an accident?

You would recieve medical assistance in an emergency to the most basic degree. You would still have to pay for it regardless and they would send a collection agency after you for payment which would impair your credit score.

Dwight Said:

Texas life insurance and illness death benefits?

We Answered:

Life insurance covers you in the event of death from any cause (except suicide in most cases). Accidental death is a rider that you can purchase that will pay additional benefits should you die as a result of an accident (car, hunting, etc).

Health insurance covers you for health care costs while you are alive. There is no payout in the event of your death.

If you think your term policy only covers you from an accident, I would seriously take a close look at your terms. That doesn't seem right.

Tommy Said:

Would you consider a reaction to an injectable medicine an accident? My accidental insurance policy is denying?

We Answered:

Some people consider getting pregnant an accident too, but it is not covered either. I am sure your medical insurance will cover your hospital stay. You weren't accidentally injected, you had a reaction to the injection you were given on purpose to treat your condition.
