Typically, the insurance company will only pay to replace with like kind and quality. Unfortunately, they do not pay for upgrades.

The one think I want to add is Loss of Use and Loss of Income. Sometimes the rental company will included these types of damages. You normally need rental coverage on your own vehicle to cover loss of use, although I still would check with your agent and/or insurance company.
