1 Week Insurance Cover

Milton Said:

My back has progressively gotten worse after a car accident 1 week ago. Is it logical to visit the E/M now?

We Answered:

If you both excnhanged insurance info after the accident, contact your insurance agent to see what you should do. Part of what your insurance company should be doing for you is coordinating all benefits and claims.

Craig Said:

Where can I get 1 week content insurance for up to (and over possibly) £20,000?

We Answered:

Your best bet might be to contact a firm that does 'event' or 'musicians' insurance plenty of these firms offer cover for bands/DJ's etc.

This can cover not only your kit, but also give you public liability cover so if it falls on someone's head or any electrics cause a problem to the venue, then you are covered. This is well worth considering.

Even if you don't want the liability cover (though in this day and age I'd make sure you're covered somewhere), the 'musicians' insurers are probably your best bet for theft/damage cover as they are more geared up for 'one-off' type stuff like this. They will also cover theft from vehicles, which a lot of standard policies won't, although there will probably be an additional premium involved.

You can get cover for just one event, multiple events or if you do this a lot (or if you just want damage/theft) annual cover.

I've added a few links below these are not recommendations as I've never used them myself (though I'm sure they are fine), but at least this gives you somewhere to start.

Good luck

Non diagnosed cancer-new insurance, how long do I wait before I see a doctor?

We Answered:

Your insurance should cover it- insurance is effective immediately upon paying for it so you're covered. Let's just say worst case scenario that somehow its not covered, there is a large likelihood that Medicaid would then pick up the tab, and I speak this from experience. Dont ever let finances delay life saving diagnoses. I unfortunately had cervical cancer which spread to lymph nodes. If it had been caught months sooner I would only have been stage 1 which could have been surgically removed. Instead it was caught at stage 2 (even though I did go to the doc regularly and get checked for cervical cancer yearly) but I instead had to undergo radiation and chemo along with a small surgery. IT was so bad that some days I was afraid to go to sleep because I thought I might not wake up. Your health is too important to put this off. Don't let this thing go further if it is cancer. Get it checked. One way or the other you will be taken care of. Go to the doctor!

Kay Said:

Can the insurance company deny my claim because my insurannce lapsed even if i was in the acident 1 week prior?

We Answered:

You never said when the policy expiration date was? If the policy lapsed prior to the accident date, and you can't prove the insurance company received the payment prior to the policy lapsing or prior to the date of the accident then I'm afraid you were not insured at the time of the accident. You can wait for the decision from your insurer as to whether they will reinstate the policy as of the expiration date, however I would not hold out too much hope on this.

Lawrence Said:

I'm 17 my car is in the garage how much would I be looking at on insurance for a weeks cover on a 106 1.4?

We Answered:

You cannot get temporary insurance cover at 17. If you were of an age whhere you could it would be in the region of £150 a week.

Alexander Said:

I was involved in a minor car accident exactly 1 week from today - Is it a good or bad Idea to visit the E/M ?

We Answered:

I totally agree with the other answer - go see your primary care doctor. Injuries such as you describe often manifest themselves days or even weeks after the actual accident. That is precisely why insurance companies want you to sign a release as quickly as they can get to you after the accident; they know these injuries are often not even felt for a number of days.

Good luck, and I hope you have a great day.

I have Humana, I'm under treatment now. I'll get a contract job next week for 1-2 year with Aetna insurance.?

We Answered:

You have to ask if Aetna has a pre-existing clause. If it does, your Humana coverage could count toward that if you have less than a 63 days break in coverage.

Discuss It!
