Service Insurance Broker

Jimmie Said:

Insurance broker - should I manage a restaurant??

We Answered:

The manager job will probably require more hours and more flexibility in your schedule. As long as your insurance employer has no problem with it, go ahead. Extra income.

Bobbie Said:

Is an insurance broker a good career?

We Answered:

Well, personally I do NOT like working in a company. I did it for 18 months - a great company, too, but I just didn't like being pigeonholed into just one thing. Drove me nuts.

Is a broker a good career? Depends on whether or not you can sell. If you can't sell, you'll go broke - because it's all straight commission.

Ben Said:

Obama the capitalist? Should America continue going down the road as a service economy?

We Answered:

Obama is anything but a capitalist. For over 200 years capitalism served this country well, giving the average person an opportunity to build a business and grow it. From the immigrant street vendors that grew into large companies to the inventor that built a world wide computer operating system. Opportunity was the result of freedom and capitalism. Even after the progressives came into the picture in the early 1900's and started to socialize out society, capitalism continued to provide incentive and a chance to grow and improve our lives. After the 1960's the regulations went far beyond the necessary controls and taxation for entitlement programs started to take it's toll on the free market. Without capitalism, there will be less manufacturing and less jobs. As the business sector fails, so will tax revenue decrease. We must review our regulatory system and update it, removing those agencies who have outlived their purpose and ridding our system of regulations that do nothing more than destroy the ability to conduct business.
The last remaining sardine factory in the US is closing due to regulatory rulings. Many years ago, along the coast of Maine nearly every community had at least 1 and some had 4 or 5. Regulations drove the cost of operation so high that they could not compete with imports. Now the government has in effect forced the close of the last one. More unemployed looking for jobs in an already depressed area where there are none is the end result.
Tell them and the millions of unemployed that this administration is doing all possible things to get the economy running again. Don't tell about TARP or stimulus packages, they have done nothing but increase our debt as will the jobs package. While Washington was wasting time on health care for the sake of gaining more control, our businesses were failing under the pressure of regulation, taxation and excessive union benefit packages. They could not compete with cheap imports where there is no regulation and lower taxes. Obama is listening only to the dictates of his total control agenda.
