It says a lot about the conservative movement--then and now.

Where there's change, they are always the first ones to cry foul and try to block it from taking place. Then they pick one of their time honored complaints (e.g. polygamy) and use that as a wedge-issue in an attempt to make a mole hill out to be a mountain.

It fails because conservatives never bother to think the matter through. They don't bother to do the research, look up information, try to *formulate* a concise argument based on facts, or even debate with sound reasoning or a logical mind.

All the conservatives these days are reactionary demagogues frightened by a changing world that has left them further and further behind.

Time--and history--has proven that.

Look how the movement *itself* still clings to obsolete ideas and facsimiles: They desperately want to keep turning the clock back to the 1860s, the 1900s, the 1950s, and the 1980s.

Any period in our nation's history where both God and guns ruled the land and only whites and men had rights, but women, minorities, and certain groups had no rights at all.
