For the most part you only need to take your local insurance councils insurance lisensing course.

It is HIGHLY recommended that you take some sort of business courses as most of the opportunities in this industry are self employed so you are building your own business.

We Answered:

Legally all you need is your CAIB 3 (after you get CAIB 1 followed by 2) in order to be the principal of a brokerage. However no one is going to put you in charge of a brokerage unless you have your CIP (unless you're planning on opening your own brokerage). So focus on getting your CAIB 2, then get your CIP, then when you feel you're ready to take on management then get your CAIB 3.
