I have never used MISYS, but as far as remembering to do something ... I use my Outlook and set up pends in there. You can set up by time of day as well as day of the week. It works well for me.

Insurance test with the job interview? HELP!!?

We Answered:

I've been on a lot of interviews where they also gave me a test. They just want to see if you know enough to do the job. The tests I've taken were sort of general - could I do math, etc., or else I was asked specific technical questions in my field during the interview itself. I've even seen places ask nonsense questions just to see what the person being interviewed would put down - to see their reactions.

There's not much you can do about the test now, so just relax. If it was something really technical, they probably would have told you about it sooner so you could have studied. Look at it this way - they're trying to hire for the position, and you must have done something right or else you wouldn't have gotten the interview in the first place. If they make the test too hard, no one will pass it and they can't fill the position. So just relax and do your best.

I need career advise! Entry-level into the Insurance Industry?

We Answered:

Um, $4,000 isn't much of a book of business. So you must mean something else.

The only position you're likely to get, is as a PRODUCER - selling insurance, on a straight commission basis. Unless you're willing to work for peanuts, as a customer service rep at an agency.

YOUR FATHER already has the contacts in your area, HE is the guy you should be asking!!!

Regina Said:

What are types of jobs are out there that are social in nature?

We Answered:

99.9% of all jobs involve some kind of human contact, even the one you are in now. [The only one that I can think of that is devoid of human contact is lighthouse keeper.] So, you are asking the wrong question.

What you should be asking is, "What are my interests, training and skills?" Only you can answer that.

If you are a college graduate, perhaps your old college has a career councilor. If not, then I suggest that you find a private councilor who can help you find where your future lies.

Discuss It!
