help fixing my resume?

We Answered:

Did you really only work 1 week at the body workshop and only for the month of January 2008 at the Chinese restaurant? Unless these were something special for school that only lasted a week or so intentionally, then take them off your resume completely. I'd much rather hire someone with zero work experience than someone who can't seem to hold a job for more than a few weeks.

If I've misread what you're trying to say on both of these jobs, maybe now it's easy to see what needs to be reworked so potential employers don't quickly come to the same conclusion I did.

If you are being paid for gymnastics coaching, then expand on that. It might not seem to be related work-experience, but if people counted on you and trusted you to do things, then it shows you were responsible.

I'd also drop the "family friends" from your references and find some references of your own. Everyone knows your parent's friends are going to say good things about you. How about your coaches or other people who have seen you in a responsible way?

Have anyone had a problem with refunding insurance money thought insurance broker?

We Answered:

Your question is similar to what some clients experience with brokers, if it is me what I'll do is that I take the matter to the broker personally and discuss it face to face with him and if I found him wanting, I'll sue his ***! That's by the way to answer your question I like have stated them below:

1. What I can deduce from your details above is that you terminated your policy before maturity, thus such act warrants penalty being imposed on you, all you need to do is to ask the broker for a breakdown of what went down with your money or in other term ask for your statement of account. Your deductions will include penalty, commission, tax (if applicable in your state) and others. If he could not give you any proof and you could smell something fishy, then sue him for fraud!

2. Like I said before, arrange a meeting with him and not phoning, some matters are better discussed face to face than on phone.

3.Your insurance company refuse to give you any information before you are represented by your broker so you cannot deal directly with them. Anything you need to do with them must emanate from the broker (don't be offended it's industrial operation).

Discuss It!
