My Dad was just laid off as well - he was a sales manager and received base pay, commission overrides and bonuses. The economy is terrible!
He decided to try a company that's 50% commission and you get paid right away. He though he would give it a try while looking for something else. In the meantime he has decided to stick with this company, work part time and figured out he is already making about $100 an hour.
