Why are you doing the phone calls and contacting other persons & other persons company? That's the job of your insurance company. As long as there was no personal injury, put your claim in to your insurance company. Once that occurs, your company must contact the other insurance and 1.come to a settlement with the other insurance company or 2. bring the other company to court for the funds. Either way, it's their job. All you're interested in is getting the vehicle repaired without cost to you.

The correct answer is, "Maybe". Did you really mean 'agencies' instead of 'companies'?

My insurance contract allows me to write for different companies. It does not allow me to write for a competing agency.

The contracts of the two agencies (or companies) will determine if you are allowed to do so.

Since all agents must be licensed by the state, it would not be difficult for an agency (or company) to discover if you are in violation.
