Yes, there's allegedly a larger spread of prices so that some will cost less to insure than they used to in the older groups & some will be more. The exact scale should be to multiply the old group by 2.5, so you're old group 5 will be a new group of around 12.5 - so a group 12 should be slightly cheaper, ad group 13 should be slightly dearer.

Different insurance companies rate bikes differently. Some will rate the Triumph the same as the japanese 600s. Others won't. That's why it always pays to shop around. I have my Buell 1125R insured by a company that doesn't consider it to be a sport-bike. If they did, it would triple the cost to me.

Being young it is best to start with a car in the of 5 and under. (most people usually go for 3 ro 5 and then work their way up) However this is only down to money, if you are willing to pay a lot then you can insure something like a ferrari.

The average insurance for 17 year old males i know is about £1300+, and that is only for a very small, basic car.

You don't mention if your resume was sent because you were responding to a want ad or if it was unsolicited. Obviously if you are applying for an open position you will have a much better chance at landing the job than if you are simply sending in a resume..
