The cost of the medications is HIGHLY inflated. The pharmaceutical companies make a TON of money off prescription drugs.

In order to sell MORE drugs, they do "volume discounts" with the insurance company - that means, buying 90 days supply, you buy each of those pills for a reduced rate - MUCH cheaper than buying 30 day supply. So no, the insurance companies are paying LESS per pill, when you buy 90 days supply.

I'm no physician, but specialists go through training and have an education, and that's whereI think lies the heart of the matter. It takes many more years of training to be a radiologist than a family physician, so time and money are factors. The work is also more demanding because you have to know all there is to know as it is your specialty. If something goes past the understanding of a Family Doctor, they reference their patients to a specialist, do they not? Specialists are rarer and in demand, which is why they get paid more than the average family physician.

who was submitting the application for the insurance?
if you were buying it in the questionnaire there is a question if you have any custom upgrades (i.e dvd playes alarm systems and other fancy stuff and that includes aftermarket wheels and tires as well) if you said no to that question then forget about the claim but if it was a inclusion you were obligated to give that info
because if no info is mentioned the company insures the car in stock configuration
but you can fight for at least stock wheels and tires because if nothing is mentioned you are covered for stock stuff.

It appears that you don't really have a dedicated agent, so don't try to handle this through the agent. Contact the company directly. It sounds like you're only presuming that there are problems when there probably aren't. Insurance companies don't give anyone "the runaround." They investigate as they should; and while this can be a sometimes lengthy and frustrating process, they always do the right thing within the provisions of the policy. Be patient and work with the company, then make sure for the future that you have an agent upon whom you can depend.

If there is a generic alternative to the drug the insurance company probably needs to keep their cost's low so they would rather have you use the generics first if they will do the same thing as the specialty drugs. Doctors often order the Drug's that they will be compensated for dispensing, ie. vacations , cash, or cars, from the manufacturer.
