Texas is a bit opressive to get licensed in, LOL, with the fingerprinting and such - but that's the LAST state I've been licensed in, so maybe everyone is moving that way.

However. EVERY state will require that you get appointments (certifications) with the carrier, and you'll need the E&O before you can get the appointment.

I'd strongly suspect that if you were selling in other states, and didn't get an appointment directly, then you were selling for someone else, and using THEIR appointments. SOME states, the agents are more "slack" about making sure the producers also have the proper appointments.
