Check Progressive or Geico Ins companies. They will give you a quote on-line.

Marie Said:

Is my car insurance quotes high?

We Answered:

There are many factors that determine your insurance rates. Age, driving experience, driving record, the type of vehicle you're insuring and the type of coverage that you need. Rates vary from state to state as well as varying amongst rating 'territories' within your state. I'm not familiar with rating practices in your state as I'm only licensed in NY. However, absolutely "shop" for quotes in your area. Many times you can qualify for a lower rate by having kept continuous insurance and switching to a new carrier. If MA is like NY, you should also qualify for a better rate once your license is three years old and you should also experience a reduction at age 25. You may wish to consider switching your policy at the time your driving experience has reached that 3 year mark - or - at least switch to a 6 month policy at your renewal in July so that when you renew then in January, you'll have that three years in. In NY 'inexperience' (less than three years driving experience) equates to about a 20% surcharge on liability and collision coverages. I can tell you that Toyotas can be more costly to insure than some other similar type vehicles, which may be part of the reason your rates are slightly higher. You can also consider taking a "Defensive Driving" or "Accident Prevention" course which, in NY, is a 6 hour course and is good for a 10% discount on liability and collision for three years from the date of completion.

hope this was somewhat helpful and good luck! :)

Vehicle insurance - Moved from GA to MA?

We Answered:

Your accident history will still be immediately available to any new insurance company. Massachussetts is a much more densely populated state than Georgia, with different insurance laws. It's not a shock that the rates would be higher. Keep shopping and consult an independent agent.

Dave Said:

anyone has allstate insurance in MA?

We Answered:

Hi.

First off, sorry, I do not live in MA. Second, I do have Allstate insurance and use to be an Allstate agent.

A quote can vary from the actual price you may end up paying, so before you commit to anything, make sure you ask if they are quoting you according to all rates and requirements, such as if they have pulled your driving record and looked at your credit and insurance history already. Next, find out which policy it is they are quoting. Allstate (depending on state) can usually have 4 different types of policy, Platinum being the most expensive - but providing the most coverate and benefits like the accident forgiveness and safe driving bonus as advertised on TV. I completely recommend the Platinum...you won't regret it, trust.

Another thing, I had Allstate insurance before working there and still have it...and I no longer work there. It's lovely!
