Christopher Said:

Auto insurance company needs more information about you?

We Answered:

YOUR auto insurance company already has that information.

Mitchell Said:

Can I report fraud to an auto insurance company?

We Answered:

It's not fraud. It's just a small misrepresentation on the application for insurance.

The difference in premium between driving 7500 miles a year and 8000 miles a year is so small (if there is any at all) it's immaterial.

Even if the person had a claim and the insurance company discovered the misrepresentation it's not large enough to void coverage.

The only misrepresentations on an insurance application that will affect insurance coverage are ones that are so big that if the truth had been known the insurer wouldn't have insured the person at all, even at a much higher price.

Scott Said:

which american auto insurance company covers you if you travel to canada ?

We Answered:

Unlike Mexico which requires you to buy their insurance, Canada will recognize your current policy as a tourist in their country.

Maria Said:

Do you have to report deferrals to your auto insurance company?

We Answered:

It depends on your state. Tickets go not go on your driving record until you either see a judge or they are paid. So, for now you have no convictions on your driving record.

Don Said:

what does the auto insurance company's have to pay for?

We Answered:

Who says they have to pay 3x your medical bill.

What you get will depend on whatever the other party was insured for.

If this is just vehicle damage then you will have to pay your own medical bills.

Pauline Said:

When an auto insurance company makes a payout do they go by Kelly Blue Book private party or retail value?

We Answered:

They don't go by Kelly Blue Book.

If they use a book - it will be the NADA (National Automobile Dealers Assoc.) book.

If they pay based on the book - they will start with the retail value. Then subtract for mileage and condition. So...if your car needs new tires....there will be a deduction for that.

However, many companies use a market survey program (such as CCC or Total Logic). These are not products you have access to. But if the insurance company uses one....they can send you a copy of the report and let you see it.
