Ana Said:

How do you become an Insurance Sales Agent?

We Answered:

In every state I know, one must be licensed in order to sell insurance, or even to make a quote! Go talk with an Independent Insurance Agent and get information applicable to your state.

Insurance Agent Jobs: Which Job To Take (Farmers or AIL or Altig International)?

We Answered:

Look at AM Best. This handbook rates insurance companies and look for an insurance company that has a good and long track record.
It depends about how ambitious you are. The beauty of the non-life insurance is that you have residuals and the businesses are your captive audience. One good thing about life and non-life insurance, they train you well to sell from prospecting leads to cold calling to the appointment to presentation (Assumptive selling) and overcoming objections to the close ( I personally liked the SILENT close) . The first few calls, some experienced agent will be with you. From that you will have a script, then your own pesronal selling script.

State Farm Insurance Agent Job Interviews?

We Answered:

State Farm Agents all have different tests that they use to gauge your success in an agency environment. They could give you a personality test and second interview with a consultant from the home licensing agency. It's honestly up to the agent on how they want to hire. State Farm has certain conditions on how agents run their business after that, it's up to the agent to do what they want.

Insurance Agent?

We Answered:

All have given good advice--except for Primerica. they are a multi-level market firm. The only thing you will learn there is, "only buy 10 yr term & invest the rest. Then see if you can get 5 people per week to join us and you can make millions per month."

Tara Said:

Does anyone know about Farmer's Insurance Agent Jobs?

We Answered:

It's not a scam. You'll have to pay to take the licensing test, and pass it, and then you get to try to start selling insurance.

If you don't sell, you don't get paid. It's a straight commisison job.

Insurance agent, and good sales jobs?

We Answered:

Because of the economy, it's a really bad time to change careers. Insurance agencies are tied to home and car ownership and sales, which really took a hit. There's really no room for new insurance agents (or realtors or car salepeople). Sales is tough now too, because people aren't spending. Unfortunately, the best thing to do now is stay where he is, until the economy starts looking better.
