Insurance Agency Systems

Arthur Said:

What are some good Agency Management Systems out there for Insurance companies?

We Answered:

Applied and AMS are the "big boys" in agency management software. Most larger agencies will go with one of these companies.

If you own a smaller agency you might want to consider:

DORIS Systems www.dorissystems.com
Agency Advantage www.agencyadvantage.com
InsurancePro www.insuranceproonline.com
Agency Business Systems www.agencybusys.com
AMSoft www.amsoft.org

You need to do your homework so that you know what functions you want your agency management system to accomplish. Obviously, the pricier systems are going to have all the bells and whistles built in.

If you want to interface with your company online systems check with your major carriers to see what systems they support. If your company does not support your choice of software you may not be able to accomplish certain tasks.

How do you check to see if a person has any life insurance after they pass away?

You can try MIB. All life insurance policies get processed through them. But there is no guarantee.

There is no such agency that sends out letters to other insurance companies. That is a SCAM.

Call the Department of Insurance in your state if you need help.

Louis Said:

What systems do travel agencies use ?

We Answered:

I think they use a proprietary system, probably based on the Oracle till system. I wouldn't worry too much about this, as if they need to, they can train you. These systems are often quite easy to master and the interview will focus more on social skills and selling ability.
