Insurance Agency Mn

Andrew Said:

Who's responsible for the damage done to my vehicle in my car accident?

We Answered:

First things first.......Put the phrases "no-fault" out of your head. In MN it has absolutely nothing to do with who is at-fault. It pertains to who pays your medical bills and that is all. It has nothing to do with car damages or determining fault.

Insurance is mandatory in MN so the cops are supposed to ask for insurance information from each driver so it can be listed on the police report.

It is not too late, so you have two choices wait for the police report or get the info from your sis and contact the guy for his insurance information. Then you call that company and report the claim. If you are lucky the other driver has reported the claim to his company and they should contact you shortly.

In order for your dad's insurance to cover the damages to your car he must have collision coverage. The liability coverage he has is for covering the other persons car when you are at-fault. It will do nothing for repairing your car.

Good Luck

How do I get these traffic tickets expunged?

We Answered:

Call the county courthouse with jurisdiction over the conviction and ask the clerk of courts if they have an application of some kind to seek expungements. I am sure MN has a state law that covers expungements, so you may want to google the statute to make sure the offenses are expungeable. (Many states will not allow an expungement for multiple offenses of the same statute - careless driving.)
