As you noted, they are an agency, not a company. Only companies have NAIC numbers. BR&D will represent companies that DO have NAIC numbers, though.

You can find COMPANY information at www.ambest.com, including NAIC numbers. But you have to figure out which company you're talking about, to get the NAIC. Examples of companies are Progressive, Geico, Travelers, Hanover, State Farm, etc. The name on the POLICY PAPER. Not the agency.

Most likely what you are paying is a co-payment or the portion your insurance does not cover. I seriously doubt anyone is going to donate this money to you. And, having worked in the insurance industry for a decade, you are like most people and don't bother to read what is - and isn't - covered. Consider yourself very,very lucky that this surgery is covered at all!
Now as far as the portion you have to pay - you can try to borrow the money - perhaps from a relative, and set up a pay schedule so they get a certain amount repaid by you from your bank account automatically. Or you might see if you can get a personal loan from your bank. You might consider getting a second part time job to pay for it.
If you really, really want this surgery, you have to be willing to do whatever it takes before you have it.

Sounds like you did the right thing by contacting your insurance and leaving a note.I cant see your rates going up over a parking incident.What did your insurance company say when you called them?What is your deductable?The thing I would watch for,is that the person of the other vehicle doesnt try to scam you for more money than what the actual damage was.If your going to offer to pay,find out what his/her deductable is,and ask to see at least 3 estimates for their car repair.Then you can offer to pay the cheaper amount.

But Congress believed that the fund was so well-capitalized - and that bank failures were so infrequent - that there was no need to collect the premiums for a decade, according to banking officials and analysts."

These dolts do it every time. Its amazing how inept our congress can be. FDIC is insurance, you pay for it incase things go bad, you don't assume "everything will be rosy forever"

Hit the street. Go door to door looking for work. There must be lots of shops and stores. Watch for help wanted signs. Ask people if they know someone looking for help (It is called networking). Be neat, clean (cover up most of those cool tats and take that peice of metal out of your tongue). Use good grammer!!!!!!! Remember you are there for the job, the job is not there for you.

The money you make is related to how many people that can do your job. If anyone can do it, It won't pay much. Low pay jobs are not a career. They are there to provide a stepping stone to getting your life on track.

After you get the job, re-evaluate your decision to get an education. Jobs require skills.
