THe main thing to look out for is the small print in the policy.

Do you want cover for life?
Cover up to a certain amount of vet fees?

Cover for life is as it suggests for life, invaluable if your dog ever gets
Diabetes
Heart conditions
Arthritis
kidney probs
Cushings
Addisons, to name a few that will be a life time problem and costly.
Petplan in this case offers the best Cover for life policy but they are expensive.

However Healthy Pets do a cheaper great plan, they don't offer cover for life but you can get up to £ 5000 worth of vet fees, for EACH condition with no time limit on when to make the claim.

Steer clear of companies like Tescos, Sainsburys, ASDA etc, if you want groceries great go shopping there but don't bother buying an insurance policy! lol
Make sure the ins co doesn't cut off the policy after a year from when you first made the claim, a lot of the cheaper policies do this.

One final word of warning do NOT under ANY circumstances go with a company called E&L. Most vets will not do direct claims with this company as they take far too long to pay out.
