Home Owner Insurance Company

Leslie Said:

Does anyone know a home owner's insurance company that will cover Pit Bulls?

We Answered:

Allstate is the only one I've heard of that practices no breed discrimination whatsoever. Most companies will cover your dog, but the prices are exorbitant and there are restrictions, like muzzles or leashes.
Good luck and God bless!

Can anyone recommend a home owner's insurance company that pays claims fairly when rebuilding home?

We Answered:

This may not be directly answering your question, but I am in sure shock that you have "nail damage" to your roof since it takes NAILS to put a roof on. You may want to check into the denial of your claim a little more....and maybe have the Department of Insurance for your state check it out too!
Something just don't sound right!
...by the way, ERIE & Met Life are Great property and casualty companies to work with. See your INDEPENDENT agents instead of going direct.

Kirk Said:

Does your home owners insurance company insure your property with an American bulldog breed?

We Answered:

American Bulldog is not on the DO NOT INSURE list with most insurance companies...I actually change the breed of my dog from Staffordshire Bull Terrior to American Bulldog when I moved to another town... you shouldn't have a problem

Alfred Said:

My home owners Insurance company is dropping us, next month what are our options?

We Answered:

Getting dropped by insurance companies is very common and completely legal. Your options are the same as the time when you first sought insurance ... shop around for a new provider. Do not rely on your mortgage holder to provide insurance, they will gladly do so but it will be the most expensive policy on earth. Who knows, you might find something more affordable than what you previously had.

What home owners insurance company will cover a home with a wood burning stove?

We Answered:

Im a licensed Insurance Agent in the State of NJ. Not all carriers will take a client with a wood burning stove. I believe once carrier named Hanover will take a home with a wood burning stove but you will have to fill out one extra document for it. If you live in the state of NJ then feel free to email me and I can help you out tdockery@otterstedt.com.

Philip Said:

Is there a home owners insurance company that offers less than a $500 deductible?

We Answered:

Lots of them do, and quite possibly you can get lower than $1,000 with State Farm, with a different agent, depending on where you live, IF you have a spotless claims history.

If you have a habit of putting in small claims (under $1000), then likely EVERY company will want you to have a deductible over $1,000.

Talk to a few local, independent agents in your area. Most insurance companies will go down to $250 (although it's rarely worth it, as the extra premium for that super low deductible is usually darned close to $200 a year), and I have OLD clients that are grandfathered in at $100.

Brenda Said:

Does anybody have a Home Owners Insurance Company that they have used and is happy with?

We Answered:

I've been with Erie for years. Their prices are decent, and their claim service it top notch.
