I was in the same boat, I had a 9,000 dollar dental bill to worry about, I was desperately looking for some kind of insurance that will help me pay for it, but unfortunately I was unsuccessful, either there were some kind of probation period or you had to be employed with a company that offered it.

There is hope though, there is something called dental plans, instead of insurance. It's basically a discount program, a big discount program, more then 50%, my bill dropped down to about 2500 after I signed up and informed my dentist about the plan I have.

Find the best one that suites you, I joined one that participated in a program called DDS, check my source to help search for the best plan for you

You won't need to worry about health insurance, which is good because I don't think any exists in Ecuador. But health care is very cheap!! I was seeing a Dr at his office when I was pregnant for $12 a visit and if i really didn't have the money I could see him at the hospital for free. There are free services throughout the country. And private clinics that charge little compared with the US.

As for home insurance...the best home insurance we ever had was a huge baseball bat we kept in our house. Yeah they won't insure things for you...and I'd be really careful if you find anyone who offers you insurance. Make sure they actually have a record of paying out for losses. My mom did us good with the bat...she caught kids breaking into our house, detained them for the police to take them away, and got all of our stuff back. :)

There had been some car insurance places around, but now you are required to carry insurance from the government. And the insurance is really only liability.

You can get a quote directly on the website; they don't send your information to an agent so you can directly choose which company and plan you want.

mbrcatz has a good point. If you are looking for cheap coverage, then you should easily be able to find it on the website. At your age, you should be able to get health insurance for cheap, but expect very high deductibles ($5000 and up). If you are looking for a good plan with low deductibles, you still might be able to get a good premium compared to someone 20 years older, but expect the premium to be a bit higher than the cheapest plan.

I would go to the website and see what you can find. The website quotes from Unicare, Humana, United, Cigna, etc.
