Gap Insurance Providers

Jackie Said:

Dental insurance providers with orthodontist coverage?

We Answered:

Many MetLife Dental plans cover ortho. When your employer buys the package, they can select whether or not to add that benefit.
Most often, it is not the insurance provider, but the employer who decides what is or is not covered. Ask your HR person, or whoever administers your health plan.

Bob Said:

Anyone know of any Gap Insurance Providers?

Todd Said:

Where to get GAP insurance on high APR auto loan?

We Answered:

Wow, well, have you called the insurance company where you insure the car? That's probably the BEST place to get the gap from.

Although they won't cover any negative equity rolled into the loan.

Besides that, either drive very, very carefully for the next three years, or sell the car/cancel the deal - even if it costs you. Sounds like it's going to cost you about three times what it should, anyway.

Dental insurance supplement/gap providers?

We Answered:

Unfourtuantely, this is what most dental ins. providers cover. $1500 yearly max is actually pretty good. Plus a lot of insurance don't cover orthodontic work, so it's really not that bad. I find that most people have this problem, thinking their insurance actually covers more. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I know tons about dental ins.

Brian Said:

Will I get penalized if I have a gap in health insurance for a couple of months when enrolling in new program?

We Answered:

Any waiting period imposed by your new employer, does NOT count against the 63 day rule, once you are employed. So if your new job does start in 6 weeks, that means only a gap of about 43 days.. not 63. However, that is pushing it a little.

Brad Said:

Health Insurance betweeen two jobs?

We Answered:

Normally, health insurance is paid on a monthly basis. So, unless the gap occurs across two months, you have no problem.

If you leave on, say, July 21 and start on Aug 7, then you probably need coverage for Aug 1 to Aug 6. Fortunately, COBRA allows you 60 days to make an election and another 45 days to begin to pay the premium

So, in your case, I would "elect" COBRA, and if there are no expensive claims from Aug 1 to Aug 6, then, I would not pay the COBRA premium.
