Wow! It sounds like you have done a lot of work already. I am sorry about the work you still need to do to get this resolved. I would start by calling your car insurance company back again asking for supervisors, any other agent (who hopefully has half a heart) to help you. Call every day; document who you talk to. Be polite, but be persistent. You can also look for other contact information for your agent by putting her name in quotes in a google search along with your insurance company name, or perhaps another agent can give you that information. Once you are successful there do the same thing with the medical insurance company (call often, document who you talked to, when, and what was said). The medical insurance company *should* be able to clear up the credit report *if* they take responsibility for the bill, but you need to keep checking on that as well (as you now learned the hard way).
