I just recently looked into Auto Plus Insurance in Miami,
and they are by far the most professional and detailed
than any other company I called, they told me what I needed
and why I needed it. And they were cheap. With the added bonus
of being really careful about making sure I did not have too much
or not enough insurance in Florida based on the cars I own.

They even spoke to me about insurance for my boat. Which
saved me a lot of money.


I would agree with what you have been hearing..

You can call your agent and have them fax/email one to you or even better, some of the Insurance companies have the ability to have you print one out online. If you don't get the answer you need, I would go to the office and insist they print some kind of proof out for you. Good luck!

You can go to a company directly if you feel comfortable that you know enough about health insurance. However i would not recommend that.
I went to an independent agent and i liked it very much, because they provided me with quotes from most of the companies that i was already looking at.
I got lucky and found an agent who treated me great. They did'nt charge me for the quotes or the advice, apparently most independent agents don't.

Insurance is not regulated by the government, but there are state insurance departments who can help. I believe the other answer had a link, and that should help you get started with a complaint. Realize, however, that if they have had their contract approved by the Dept. of Insurance and you're just not happy with the terms nor new change, the carrier will probably be backed up by the Dept of Insurance. Not sure the specific issue you're having, so good luck!

You need to go to www.iiaa.org and get hooked up with your local independent agent association. They can walk you through setting up the whole business, and they offer licensing classes.

Although there are insurance agencies that will go out of state, they will not agree to start coverage for someone who has recently had cancer for under $1500 per month. Even if you find a company that was ok with the out-of-state move, because of the recent cancer, they would either reject him or charge you the amount you do not want to pay.

Hi, we are going through the same thing right now. My husband went through a stop sign and hit a car and he refused the insurance settlement also and now he is suing us. I took the papers to our insurance company and they are taking care of it. We were told that the insurance company will have to pay for any settlement and everything. I don't know if the laws are different in Florida but if he does sue take it to your insurance and they have to provide you with a lawyer.
