It's hard to say for each specific employer, but more and more company's are running credit checks on poetential employee's. So it's possible yes. Consider asking them during your interview. They are required to inform you if they intend to pull a credit check. Atleast if it is a "hard" pull which most of them are. Good luck!

If the company works like the U.S. companies -- you should be able to have the company retroactively cancel the policy by sending them a letter requesting the cancellation back to the date that you purchased the USAA policy and including a copy of the USAA policy showing the date as confirmation. As long as they are able to flat cancel that policy, you should not owe anything.

they have to have you sign a FCRA (fair debt reporting act)waver to be able to check your credit. if you do, you can bet that they will check it.
