I'm with you on this one! I also have State Farm. One cannot take an insurance company seriously if all they have going for them is their price. You hear nothing of service, coverage or help (not even on their website!). Their customer service rating is less than 40%! That's the lowest of the major insurance providers in the nation. Allstate and others speak of what they cover and how they will help you. Geico says none of this. Only how much they cost. Their commercials are actually insulting to my intelligence.

No you will not be responsible for the "20%". The insurance company (his) would have to go to court, dispute the police report and win a judgment that determined you were 20% at fault.
If his company only pays 80 percent, he would be responsible for the remaining costs.
Two ways you can recover (1) take him to civil court and sue for the remaining costs, (2) file the rest with your insurance company, and have them sue.
