Car Insurance Rates

Elsie Said:

Car insurance rates for a dependent?

We Answered:

Hi there.

No it will not affect theirs...not negatively anyway. You may actually improve theirs because you would no longer be required to be listed on their policy as a potential driver in the house.

I would definitely have your parents check with their insurance company to see if that is correct...because it can depend on the state in which you live and the company they have insurance with.

I hope that helped.

Ramon Said:

Why do good drivers get better car insurance rates than bad drivers?

We Answered:

Your kidding, right?? I'll bet I know why you ask. R~<><

April Said:

why is the credit score considered on car insurance rates?

We Answered:

People who are responsible with managing their finances are considered more responsible in their driving habits and thus get better rates. However, insurance companies usually only check credit initially. If you've had an 8 year history with the insurance company that should certainly get you discounts and better rates.

Randall Said:

Do Car Insurance rates go up when being rear ended?

We Answered:

A rear end collision is the fault of the guy who hit you. It shouldn't affect your rates.

Jon Said:

Will my Car Insurance rates go up for 1 speeding ticket?

We Answered:

Unlikely. I have had State Farm for years and a few tickets and accidents along the way. Unless you have multiple tickets or costly accidents, they are the best company I have seen. Rate increases due to a ticket are mostly from the "cheap" companies.
