Business Car Insurance

Tara Said:

Is it good business to give car insurance to a drunk driver who has had many wrecks?

We Answered:

When I graduated from college, I lost my parents insurance and had to quit my job and for another one that paid 5$ an hour less. You see, my old job did not give me benefits. I made too much to qualify for government benefits and I was uninsurable because of my diabetes. So, rather than die, I had to quit a good job so that I could collect benefits from the government, see a doctor and recieve my supplies. You paid for my supplies. I did not want you want to, but it was that or die. I would not wish that situation on my worst enemy. I think you should pray that neither you nor a child never has to go through that. The bottom line is that putting the health care industry in the hands of capitalism is immoral. Let the doctors and the hospital make their money. But insurance companies are the worst sort of evil, making profits off my health and denying medical coverage for slightest reason.

Raymond Said:

Business Class car Insurance?

We Answered:

This is only my understanding.

If your partner is a named driver then they should be covered for social, domestic and pleasure use, plus commuting to and from work, UNLESS the policy is specifically not for work (some second car ones are like that for cost reasons).

Class 1 is for named drivers to travel to and from "many places of work" e.g. sub-contracting to different companies.
(2 and 3 i get mixed up)
Class 2 (I think) is as above but carrying "goods" thats you may sell, like a traveling sales man???
Class 3 is as above but includes anybody employed by that business... but it could all be the other way around!?!??!?!

Bob Said:

Can I take the New York road test in my family members car insured through her own business?

We Answered:

Yes. With rare exceptions, anyone with permission to drive an insured vehicle should be covered.
