And they expected you to take days off during the week to take sub assignments and expect that your boss would allow you to do that? After all has been said and done,it is sad that the effects of the havoc wreaked by Katrina is even
today being felt by many people in New Orleans.This and other such incidents are what shatter
ones faith in God and make one wonder why God should visit such disasters on Mankind.Is it His way of reminding people of the existence of a superior force which cannot be taken for granted?But,every such catastrophe leaves me numb and sets me thinking as to why couldn't He have been a bit more merciful and made these calamitiesnot so harsh as to leave so many dead and so many more homeless with a huge burden to carry not for a long time but even for the rest of their lives.Should He not be benign by forgiving them their sins and grant them absolution instead of
trying and testing them beyond their capacities?No doubt many of our so-called Godmen and Gurus
will blithely and glibly proffer explanations and mere words of solace without alleviating an iota of their suffering.Wouldst such mere solicitousness suffice,then the world would not mind.Whatever it may be,on this day let us pray for the souls that departed this cruel world on account of Katrina and
commiserate with those who lost their near and dear ones in this tragedy.
