Automobile Insurance Agencies

Lucy Said:

How many years does an accident remain on the records with an automobile insurance agency?

We Answered:

Usually, accidents remain on an insurance provider's records for 3 to 5 years. Some other considerations when looking for a provider are:

1. Gender and Age. Young male drivers are typically the most expensive to insure, especially if there is any infraction on their driver's record.

2. Driving Record. Tickets, accidents, being caught driving while under the influence …they all add up and translate into higher auto insurance costs.

3. Be aware of discounts. If you are a good student, if you have safety features installed on your car, if you have low mileage on your car, if you are a senior, if you are in the military…all of these can mean discounts on your auto insurance costs. But, did you know that where you live and what you drive may also impact your auto insurance costs?

4. Location, Location, Location
It's a fact, auto insurance rates in rural communities are almost always lower than those in large urban centers. Accidents tend to happen much more frequently in big cities, usually due to the high amount of cars on the road (AKA: Traffic!)

5. Certain states have higher insurance rates than others due to the percentage of claims filed. States like New Jersey, Washington D.C., New York and Massachusetts typically have the highest average insurance rates.

I6. t can also cost more to settle claims in certain areas, and this can add to the cost of your insurance premiums. Expensive cars cost more to repair or replace, and wealthy urban communities will sometimes have higher average insurance rates.

Diane Said:

I was in an automobile accident on the way home from work at 7:30am.?

We Answered:

If the accident was caused by medical issues you should not have a drivers license or be behind the wheel of a car anyway. You are a rolling hazard and a danger to other drivers. And knowing this, you chose to continue driving without any insurance to protect the people that you are putting at risk.

I can't comment to the bankruptcy. I have no experience in that field because I pay my bills.

And I AM BEING SERIOUS; you desperately need to rethink your priorities and stop sluffing off your responsibilities to yourself and society in general.

Eric Said:

Can a person file charges in automobile accident without a police report?

We Answered:

Legally your sister has nothing to worry about because she did nothing wrong. In most states if there is no injury and the damage is less than some amount i.e. $1,000 it is not necessary to file a police report which was the situation at the time of the accident.

The other party has a right to later say they discovered hidden damage or woke up the next day with pain they think is the result of the accident and now want to file a claim. Having a police report wouldn't matter because there appears to have been no visible damage and no one was injured. that's all the police report would say other than the time of the accident and its location. Even if it is a scam there's nothing you can do about it but report the incident to the insurance company and let them fight the claim. It really is out of your sisters hands.

Diane Said:

Am I being scammed??

We Answered:

Viking Insurance of Wisconsin is a real company. It is owned by Sentry Insurance of Stevens Point, WI. http://www.sentry.com

Their phone is 1-800-3SENTRY.

I can vouch that both companies are legit as I have been to their offices.

Now as Alan said that might not stop a scumbag from using Vikings name. However, many Real Estate Agencies also own Insurance agencies I see it quite a bit.

I would suggest that you call Sentry's Home Office at the number above and get more info.

Good Luck
