Auto Insurance Company

Gary Said:

Why would the auto insurance company that I am suing look at my credit report?

We Answered:

Well, insurance companies do have access to credit reports because they often use credit when quoting and selling policies and determining rates. So they may be able to access yours. When you became a plaintiff, you opened up your entire life basically. The kinds of things you have to disclose about yourself, the endless amount of medical records that can be accessed, and the background information that can be obtained is amazing. Pretty much the price you pay when you become a litigant.

If a person has judgments against him/her from creditors or other entities, it would seem to demonstrate to a certain degree how filing a lawsuit of his/her own might benefit them to the point that they could satisfy judgments/debts if awarded a large sum of money. Maybe.

Myrtle Said:

Why does my auto insurance company want me to sign an affidavit?

We Answered:

This is normal. They want to make sure that you have no other insurance that has or will pay out on this claim. If you have other insurance, tell them about it. Do not lie !

Bob Said:

hi. would your previous auto insurance company know if you switched your insurance to a new company?

We Answered:

There is no outstanding bill. Either his insurance was canceled and he is driving illegally or he paid in advance for the coverage and only hasn't paid the request for renewal bill. Insurance companies to not give you insurance on credit.

Harold Said:

Why Auto Insurance company charge customer more money at the renewal period ?

We Answered:

Your premium is determined based on your driving history (credit history in some instances as well) and on the company's overall claims experience in your area. If you did not have any accidents or moving violations this year, it is possible that Progressive had a lot of claims this year and this is causing your rate to increase.

If you are concerned with paying the higher premium, shop your policy. There could be some companies out there that have lower premiums than Progressive.

Denise Said:

What's the best way to find a good auto insurance company?

We Answered:

Pick out several companies, at least three, and get insurance quotes so you know what your rates will be like. You can also check them out with the better business bureau to see how many complaints they have had. Some good ones that I know of are:

Then check them out at:
