Agency Auto Insurance

Naomi Said:

Anyone knows an auto insurance agency that doesn't requires a DL?

We Answered:

They need a DL# in order to match the premium to the risk they are assuming. A look at your driving record is necessary. They also need to verify that you indeed do have a valid driver's license.

Aaron Said:

Does anyone know an auto insurance agency that offers affordable insurance to drivers with a bad driving?

We Answered:

Insurance rates vary SO much from person to person. It's based on some of the following: Age, Sex, Where you live, Your credit score, your driving record, your claims record, whether you're married or single, whether you own or rent, and what type of vehicle you own, it all depends on your driving records, the state you live in and how long you are willing to search around...

Pretty much any insurance broker or agent should be able to help you, just search around till you fing someone that offers good value for money

Susan Said:

do you know of any auto insurance agency that will allow this..?

We Answered:

If you are not living together, and you have care, custody and control of the vehicle, the insurance HAS to be in your name, and car registered to your address. Title has nothing to do with it, if he is legal owner, he can remain legal owner, listed on insurance for property and liability only, or as a second driver. This isn't a decision of any insurance agency, and an agent or broker who can't figure it out doesn't know what he is talking about. You have to go to DMV first, to get the registration in your name, then to an insurance professional who knows what he is doing.

I am a licenced broker, registrations agent, and driver licence issuer.

Question for mbrcatz17, who seems to think I don't know what I am talking about. How would you go about insuring a LEASE CAR? The driver never owns it, his name will never be on the title, but the driver has to have insurance, right? And remember, I don't just insure the vehicle when you come to my office, I register it, I give you the plates or stickers, and you come back to me to renew your driver licence as well.
There are documents called "right of possession" and "agreement between parties" that are used in cases where a car owner has given care, custody and control of a vehicle to another, for a period longer than 30 days, but has not given them ownership. The documents are not required for periods shorter than 30 days, because the short term is just a loan.

Is there any agency that oversees the Auto Insurance Industry?

We Answered:

No all insurance is regulated by the states Dept of Insurance. Find yours states and file a claim with them if you feel that you were wronged and they will investigate the company's practices.

Tyler Said:

What agency do auto insurance companies report accidents to; fault or no fault?

We Answered:

The companies, or at least 95 percent of them, report to an outfit called CLUE--Comprehensive Loss Reporting Exchange--but it's not a government agency, just private. It's part of LEXIS-NEXIS, the big legal reporting outfit. Companies don't usually check CLUE when giving quotes, but they do check when underwriting a new applicant to check up on the facts.
