Accident Insurance Company

Jesus Said:

auto accident other insurance company wants me to sign a release?

We Answered:

If you want the other company to pay you then you HAVE to release medical records. No release -- no check. If you want your insurance company to handle the claim just say so. Then you do not have to deal with the other company directly.

Charlene Said:

Is the general accident insurance company still operational in the uk?

We Answered:

Depends on the insurance place where you go to.

Jackie Said:

Can I get full compensation from the insurance company in case of an accident caused by an uninsured driver?

We Answered:

As long as he has a valid licence for the class of vehicle he is borrowing, and he is not a member of your household or a regular operator of the vehicle, yes he is covered.
If he does not have a valid licence, no the claim is not covered.
If he does have a valid licence but is a member of your household and/or a regular operator of the vehicle, then it depends on your insurer. Some may deny the claim and void the policy. Some may pay the claim and add them as a listed operator. It depends on the circumstances.

Steven Said:

What Insurance Company has Accident forgiveness?

We Answered:

Accident forgiveness, is something on an auto policy, BEFORE the accident happens. Usually, you have to have a policy in force for three years, with no claims, and THEN they'll add "accident forgiveness" to your policy. A few companies will TRANSFER your accident forgiveness, if you switch to them, and had it on the old policy.

But if you had an accident, and didn't have accident forgiveness on your policy then, you're not going to find a new auto insurance company that will forgive you this accident.

As always, your best shot, is to call a BUNCH of local agents - some independent agents, some direct writers. There's no short cut, you have to shop around.

Joyce Said:

Question about auto accident - insurance company paying 65%?

We Answered:

Most likely, no. If it is a two party check then one of you (probably you) has to sign it, then the other can sign and deposit it. The probably intended that you take the check to the shop, and explain the situation, signing the check over to them. Then that you would pay the remainder in whatever way you choose.

Kirk Said:

Should my friend report her accident to her insurance company?

We Answered:

There is no law requiring you to notify your insurance company.
There is, however, a law that requires you to notify the Police of an accident, if it is serious. If it's a minor parking lot ding, then don't worry about it. If it was a more serious accident that may have caused personal injury, then she may be open to a lawsuit. If this is the case, by all means let the insurance company know.
