Accident Health Insurance Agencies

Christy Said:

in a car accident and other company is screwing me over!

We Answered:

I would get me an Attorney and I would tell Allied that I am going to do such. You have a cut and dry case.Try to find a good one that does not collect from you unless the Attorney win your case.

Car accident settlement?

We Answered:

You will get the cost of repairs to your van.

You don't HAVE any injuries, until/unless you go to a doctor to get checked out. So you have no medical bills. You didn't rent a car, so there's no rental reimbursment.

All you are entitled to, with no medical expenses and no rental expenses, is for them to fix your car.

Sorry.

You probably should have discussed this with your agent, who probably would have advised you to at least go to the doctor to get checked out.

Broker vs Consultant?

We Answered:

As a general guideline, brokers work for commission on the policies sold. Consultants charge a client a fee for advise given.

Typically, in the business group market a broker will work with smaller groups and makes money on volume of policies sold combined with renewal commission. Small companies typically do not have the resources to focus on benefits and rely upon their broker to handle everything.

Consultants tend to focus more on larger groups and provide analysis for the entire business operation relating to benefits from HR to Risk Management to Benefits and beyond. It's more detailed and is billed by the hour with no commission paid (generally). Larger employer groups have fully staffed benefits departments to focus on the day-to-day administration and are looking for advise on market trends and asset management.

Brokerage is probably a good starting point for a new sales person. Good luck!

OBAMA national health care insurance REQUIREMENT SUPPORT OR AGAINST?

We Answered:

No state requires you own a car, or drive. Therefore only people who choose to drive, are required to carry insurance. So you are saying only people who choose to live should be required to carry health insurance.

That's like the government wants EVERYONE covered. People with pre-existing conditions cannot get coverage. So the government comes up with a program (PCIP) to help them, then demands they go without ANY health insurance for 6 months before they can apply. http://www.healthcare.gov/law/provisions…

Your logic makes about as much sense as the governments

Brett Said:

Will I have a bad credit? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

We Answered:

I am so sorry you are going through this complicated mess after having been in an accident. The amount that the hospital says you still owe sounds like it may be a "deductable" on your policy—the portion that the patient is responsible for paying. Check that out.

Since you do have a social security number, you will have a credit report listing eventually posted by this hospital mess, unless you address the problem now, before they turn it over to a collection agency. The reason you do not have anything showing now is that you have no credit cards or other debts.

Often times, you can negotiate with the hospital regarding discounting the bill, or possibly putting it on payments for you. The worst they can say is no to you, but, they might cut it in half. Or, because you are a student and have no income, they may have you fill out papers for what is called a sliding scale payment which could lower or wipe out the debt completely.

Worst case scenario is that if they do not discount the $900.00 and you are responsible for it, they cannot turn it over to a collection agency as long as you make a monthly payment on it. $25.00 a month, or whatever you can afford, may keep it from going to collections.

Good luck in working this out, and Blessings!
