Acceptance Insurance Company

Danielle Said:

Individual Health Insurance- Acceptance?!?

We Answered:

Most states, you won't get accepted with private health insurance, if you have diabetes. IF your state is a "guaranteed issue" state, and you can look it up in the link below, they're allowed to charge whatever they want, and in some states, exclude coverage for the diabetes. And you can count on it being $1,000 a month, or more, for a diabetic. In other words, they'll price it high enough to cover what they'll have to pay out.

Does anyone know where I can find examples of insurance letters?

We Answered:

That will get you nowhere. The "reform" provision that eliminates preexisting condition denial doesn't go into effect until 2014.

Samantha Said:

My vehicle was just deemed a total loss, my insurance company gave me a settlement offer, will my lein holder?

We Answered:

In most cases, if your insurance policy shows a lien holder, they will be paid the full amount and you will get a check from your lender for what is left. They will not be paid until you accept the offer. Make sure the offer is fair and that it is for the full value of the car. Many insurance companies will try to get you to settle for less than the vehicle is worth, so sign nothing until you are sure you are getting the fair market value.

I took a check from an insurance company for damages. Can I change my mind and renegotiate?

We Answered:

"Does my acceptance of this check mean that I have lost any rights to further compensation?"
YES!!!!!!!
If you want further estimates, DO NOT cash the check...
By cashing it you are agreeing it is what you are willing to accept...

Can I replace my petrol engine to a diesel engine on my Nissan Primera 2.0 SE automatic 1995?

We Answered:

Technically you can replace your engine, but it will be a right royal nightmare - firstly on the fuel side you will need to modify or change your tank, add a suitable lift pump, add extra fuel filtration - diesel is hygroscopic and loves to soak up water and Fuel Injection Pumps require well filtered fuel or they will give up.

then there's your electrics, you'll need to wire the extra pump in, add a glowplug circuit - if you want to start when it gets colder, and wire up your fuel solenoid that is on your dps type FIP amongst all the warning lights and probably engine management system.

it's likely that your autobox is set up for your petrol engine too - so therefore you'll probably need to change that as the torque curves are very different between petrol and diesel engines.

Advantages of diesel - engine develops more bottom end torque, you can use bio fuels, used to be more economic to run - but thanks to brown and his bozos no more.

Disadvantages - cold starting, performance can be significanntly less than petrol,

you'll need to tell dvla etc that the car is now diesel, otherwise they'll get a shock when you mot it and hook it up to the computer - you'll deffo fail emissions then!

I wouldn't bother it's just too much work - try swopping your car.
