If you want to choose by brand reliability (malfunctions) then there's a comparison at engadget (check my source), sony beats acer in the comparison and they're third from top.

Monte carlo is basically a woman's car...so you probably don't want that. With the money you want to spend the best thing coupe wise you could get would be a ford focus svt which is a decent car for the money. You might find an impreza 2.5rs coupe for around that...maybe not.

That's way too much money for the plain quad coupe, you can buy a newer redline or cobalt ss with almost half the mileage for around 7k. Not good in the snow though.

Of course you need to worry about repairs and insurance. Look again and see what you can find. Grand prixs are junk, don't touch them with a 100 foot pole.
