Risk...if you are married or a single parent, the theory is you are least likely to engage in risky behavior behind the wheel. depending on your driving record that is also considered, your rates are less than if you are single, divorced, or seperated.

But most of the time, when you buy online, the price changes - most of those places just harvest your personal information to sell to agents, as leads.

They aren't "rates", they are "indications". Then when you go to actually BUY the policy, it changes after tehy do your credit check.

Progressive is a great company. You can call the 800 number, talk to them directly, and do everything online or by mail. Keep in mind, most people unhappy with claims, are unhappy because they did do it yourself insurance, and didn't understand what they bought.
