i'm guessing at that price your a guy, if your mum has a clean license with no claims try adding her to the policy it can bring it down with some companies, or an older sister, friend or aunt

It's an oxymoron. New driver does not equal cheap insurance rates because a new driver is not rated. If you are also under about 24, add more. Male, keep adding. Unmarried, even more. Driving a Mustang, a whole bunch more.
