Your lowest rate will be on your parents policy. If you live with them they will have to insure you on their policy.

What type of bike gets the lowest insurance rates?

We Answered:

I have a sport bike, and I can tell you, they're EXPENSIVE! Stay away from them - especially at your height. Go with Yamaha Star bikes, maybe an M109R (very cool) or a V-Max.

Which cars/models have the lowest insurance rates?

We Answered:

You want the truth, you can't handle the truth. Insurance companies take in many factors to get you a quote this includes area, zipcode, driving history, financial history. See, I live in CA, I also live in a very high cost area, which in turn makes my premium low. Reasons for this is, no tickets, no accidents, nothing. It pays to have cop friends.

I pay 34 dollars a month for premium through State Farm for a 03 Cobra. Honestly, if you want a good rate, just drive a little better. Plus, if you go to driving schools, this will help your rate, why, because you are less apt to get into car accidents. Remember, when it comes to insurance, if you keep the same carrier, you will get a loyalty discount, a lot of carriers have a multicar, and plus, you get discount's on things like renters or homeowners insurance along with your car insurance.

Total insurance premium for me is 56 dollars a month, this includes 1 Mustang Cobra, 1 Toyota Prius and Renters insurance.

Just if you do anything stupid, like race or park your car in tow away zones, or run red lights. You know, all the stupid things, you will have a high premium. I personally take my car on the back roads of the city, less cops.

What cars usually have the lowest insurance rates?

We Answered:

There are many factors that affect auto insurance rates, with the main facotr being the car. Here is a list provided by the Insurance Bureau of Canada, that lists all cars and how their risk factors compare to each other.

http://www.ibc.ca/en/Car_Insurance/docum…

In each category, 100 is the average rating, so if your car is rated 150, it is 50% above average, or 50 is 50 % below average. Lower numbers are more favorable.

Hope that helps
