I wouldnt say that the companies are responsible for "kids" being killed on the roads, however they ARE directly responsible for the number of young people who drive without insurance, risking other people's hard-earned should they crash. To make it clear to those who might not be aware of just how much these companies are charging young people these days, 1.4 small family hatchback worth £2,000, new driver, charge for one year £3,850. Fair? I think not.

I doubt that the guy sitting in his office knows or cares how his firm works out their statistics but If you really want to know, you can openly check how they do it, just get in touch with your State's Insurance Department and take it from there..

My husbands insurance runs out on 6th March and he already pays by direct debit.He got a letter telling him price etc for renewal and unless he contacted them it would be renewed automatically without having to do anything. I called them and cancelled the policy and the bank to cancel the direct debit because we got cheaper elsewhere.

No,there is convenience of being able to view your coverage, policy, order i.d. cards, file claims, and make changes to your policy 24 hours a day. The only downside I have seen is due to the actual consumer NOT paying attention to the e-mails that require one to review/sign and return the documents to finalize the binding of the policy.

Any online insurance carrier however, when in doubt of their stability or credibility, should check them out through the Department of Insurance prior to purchasing anything though.

They will have to complete their investigation before they consider paying out. How long the investigation takes depends on what has to be done. Since we don't know the details of your claim and have not spoken to your adjuster -- we can't tell you. However, since the car was found burned out - they will take a very close look at this claim.
