Home Insurance Providers

Jill Said:

How do I find out a neighbor's home insurance provider to file an accidental injury claim when they withhold?

We Answered:

You have to ask them. It's private information, so there's no other way to find it.

BUT, you can't file a claim on their insurance, anyway. Only the insured can file a claim on the homeowners policy.

You're going to have to sue them for the damages.

Holly Said:

Iv'e received a letter from my home insurance provider?

We Answered:

It's a standard sales letter. They want you to call them to discuss and review your current coverage. You have the right to ignore the letter or discuss options with them. You are under no obligation to purchase additional insurance.

Jeffrey Said:

How is AAA as an auto or home insurance provider? Thinking of switching to them. Thanks?

We Answered:

autoinsurance.maclenet.com - I switched to this car insurance from them, cause it gives much cheaper rates in my area.

Who is the best provider for home owners insurance?

We Answered:

For me? Or for you? For a brand new house, or an older house? For a rural house, or an urban house? Or a suburban? For a brick house, or a frame house? For a middle of the road value house, or a million dollar home?

There's no one size fits all best. Use an A rated carrier, with a local agent. And let them shop around to about 10 different insurance companies to get the best coverage and rates for YOU.

Best home insurance providers?

We Answered:

OK, I'm in Houston, just so you know where I'm coming from. MOST insurance companies write a very limited policy in TX. If you DO qualify for USAA, they are the people to go with - they write the broad policy.

If you don't qualify for USAA, and coverage is more important than price, State Farm is the one you want. I'm with them. They are the MOST expensive, BUT, they have the same broad coverage as USAA.

If you don't care about more limited coverage, then Travelers is the one to go with. Great service, great pricing. Keep in mind, wind is a percentage deductible in Houston, and you'll probably also need flood coverage.
