Dog Insurance Compare

Jacqueline Said:

Which shots does my dog need to get yearly?? Also Insurance Question.. Help?

We Answered:

No, paying the $280 a year vs $136 is NOT worth it. You can find flea control products online at a discount. Heartworm medication can also be bought online if your vet will give you a prescription. You can save a lot by doing it online. Vaccinations.....well, once your pup has all his vaccinations, he will need one more a year from his last puppy shot and then not for 3 years. This is the new standard adopted by all the vet schools in the country. And, vaccinations are cheap anyway.

John Said:

A Service Dog dropped by insurance?

We Answered:

Which is it.....a service dog or a therapy dog? They are not one and the same.

A service dog assists an individual disabled handler with work or tasks that the disabled person cannot do for and of themselves.

A therapy dog is owned by an individual who takes it to hospitals, nursing homes, schools and such for short visits to cheer folks up. A therapy dog is not a service dog. The handler of a therapy dog has no additional rights beyond those of a normal pet owner, no matter how many "certifications" they have.

Before any legal action is taken, your friend must be absolutely certain that she has a legal leg to stand on. Therapy dog handlers have no such legal recourse.
